Description: A High-backed walnut joined box chair, dated 1537, with linen fold panels. The back panelling of heavy oak plank construction is ornately carved and decorated with carving of leaves, fruit, and cupid. It also displays a coat of arms with lion supporters. It was clearly a status symbol and people would have stood in the presence of the occupant in the chair.
